It would be nice to have a County field in People and Matter so we can identify jurisdictions.

I agree with Michelle, makes the most sense in Matter, we can leave it out of People. I think general info is the right place. For state, I don't think that is as helpful as jurisdiction, if you don't know what state you are in from the jurisdiction we have bigger problems. Plus, for appellate court they are regional. My suggestion is we call the field "Jurisdiction" and then folks can put in whatever makes sense. Aida County, Aida County - 5th District Court, Ninth Circuit - District of Idaho as examples.

I agree on County in Matter field for two reasons -- for matters involving court filings most of the attorneys have cases in various counties within a state and having the county identified will make it much easier for us to pin down the county for filing, etc. And, with regard to Met Life matters, many of us have Met Life matters (i.e., estate planning) that we need to schedule signings in counties or offices outside of our home office. The county designation would be very helpful. Let me know if this makes zero sense - it's the end of a long day. Thanks Jim!

Amber Macki and Michelle Finch we are looking at this and want to make sure we do it right. For Matters I think it makes sense to add it to the general informations screen, should we also add state? For individuals and entities it doesn't make as much sense to add to general information as there is no other address fields in that section, my thinking is we should add the option tospecify a county on an individual / entities address record, thoughts?

This would be really great! Especially when we practice/have court matters in several counties. It allows us to plan better for retainers if we know it may involve travel
